MagnaCare Honored Among Winners of Newsday’s Long Island Top Workplaces 2019

Newsday Top Long Island Workplaces 2019NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2019MagnaCare, a leader in health plan management, network rental, medical management, and casualty solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by Newsday. The list is based on feedback gathered through a survey administered to employees in MagnaCare’s Westbury, NY office by research partner Energage, LLC.

The anonymous employee survey gathered responses covering seven areas of workplace culture, including employee alignment, engagement, connection, and compensation, as well as company leadership, management, and effectiveness. The survey also covered organizational health factors that measure how well employees are working together toward a common cause.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Long Island by Newsday and to share in the honor with other terrific organizations,” said President and CFO Jim Cusumano. “I’m proud to be part of a team whose members are just as passionate as I am about our mission. To me, it speaks volumes that this award was determined solely by our employees.”

“This distinction validates our deep commitment to making MagnaCare, as well as our parent company Brighton Health Plan Solutions, an environment where our employees feel excited to come to work every day,” said Julie Bank, SVP, Human Resources.

The Top Workplaces program started in 2006 as a way to identify, study, and learn from organizations that know how to unlock potential and inspire performance. Top workplaces are organizations that understand the true value of culture, and they use culture as a competitive advantage. This year, MagnaCare was recognized for this award among 80 companies and organizations in Long Island.

Winners were publicly announced in a special edition of Newsday on Sunday October 27, 2019. To celebrate and bring together the Long Island winners, a special event was held in Woodbury, NY on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

Ragan Health Care PR and Marketin Award winnerNEW YORK, October 09, 2019 – MagnaCare, a leader in health plan management, network rental, medical management, and casualty solutions, today announced that it has been named a winner of Ragan’s Health Care PR and Marketing Awards in the Website Relaunch Category. Ragan and PR Daily Award programs celebrate the most successful campaigns, initiatives, and teams in the communication, PR, and marketing industries.

In 2018, MagnaCare launched a campaign to refresh its brand, beginning with an extensive fact-finding stage, including a series of client roundtables and independent research, to determine the specific needs and expectations of its customers. From this research, MagnaCare developed a strategic brand framework to inform all communications. The result was a new logo, refreshed visual identity, and an updated website designed to maximize ease of navigability and streamline the user experience. The updated website features new pages rich in content, presenting a more comprehensive view of the products and services MagnaCare offers, ultimately adding to the enhanced user experience.

“In recent years, MagnaCare’s brand has evolved alongside our strategy and client offerings. With this rebranding campaign, we wanted to reflect a fresh, modern feel while preserving the connection to our history – maintaining some key elements of our long-standing visual identity, and a clear statement about the value we bring to clients,” said Rosemary Chowullar, VP, Marketing, MagnaCare. “We’re proud of the results of our campaign and honored to be named a winner for our work.”

For more than 25 years, MagnaCare has provided quality healthcare services to a core Labor audience as well as to brokers, TPAs, and workers’ compensation and no-fault payors. With an updated website, designed specifically to meet the needs and expectations of today’s customer, MagnaCare will provide even better support to existing customers while appealing to new audiences.

Key MagnaCare team members behind the website redesign include Kat Durko (Creative Director), Dina Jordan (Director of Customer Marketing), Shari Ingerman (Content Manager), Tisa Corona (Lead Generation Manager), and Barbara Geoghegan (Graphic Designer), who were led by Rosemary Chowallur (VP of Marketing).

Ragan’s Health Care PR and Marketing Awards celebrates teams, organizations, consultants and agencies who have redefined the field with their groundbreaking work. As a winner in the program, MagnaCare joins an elite group of past winners, including VSP Vision Care, McLean Hospital, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Spectrum Health, University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, ATI Physical Therapy, Genentech, and NewYork-Presbyterian.
