Zettergren will discuss healthcare cost trends and direct contracting strategies

 

NEW YORK (Nov. 7, 2024) – Michelle Zettergren of MagnaCare will be a featured speaker at the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans 70^th Annual Employee Benefits Conference, Nov. 10-13 in San Diego.

 

Zettergren, president, MagnaCare, will discuss the strategies Labor Funds and Taft-Hartley Trusts can leverage to develop a custom direct contracting solution that delivers higher-quality, better coordinated care and increased member engagement. Her session, Utilizing Direct Contracting Approaches, is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11, from 9:15-10:15 a.m., and again on Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 10:45-11:45 a.m.

 

With healthcare costs rising every year, plan sponsors are considering a widening array of direct contracting approaches including utilizing integrated delivery networks, direct contracts with select surgical centers and hospitals, centers of excellence, onsite health centers, advanced primary care networks or select service contracting. Zettergren will share healthcare cost trends, advantages of different direct contracting approaches and case studies offering specific examples of direct contracting success among Labor Funds.
